| Ten members of the Irish Naval Association (INA) attended the Defences forces Annual Gala Concert in the national concert hall in uniform with their wife's and partners. The Concert is held in aid of the Defence Forces Benevolent Fund and Soldiers Aid Fund featuring Bands of the Defence Forces with special guest Colette Delahunt., the highlight for me was the Pipes and Drums who were excellent. One of our members Kieran Conners got a nice surprise when he opened the program and seen a photograph of his father taken in 1923 when the first #1 Band was formed. On Sunday the 14th of October 1923 a landmark performance took place in the Theatre Royal in Dublin. It was Nevill Brennans Birthday that day and we gave him a birthday card signed by the members who attended the Concert. I would like to thank all our members who attended the concert as we contributed 500e to the Defence Forces Benevolent Fund.
