I have always been interested in the Military from a very early age.

A brief outline of what happened to lead me to joining No 2 Company An Slúa Muiri.

1967-1970 served in the 11th Motor Squadron in McKee Barracks.

1970-1975 Served in the Royal Air Force.

On returning to Dublin served in No 2 Company An Slúa Muiri 1976-1980 and 1986-1987. The two spells with No 2 Company were some of the happiest times I spent in the military. Only leaving for work and family commitments on both occasions. The camaraderie between serving military personnel never ceases to amaze me. Being proud and honoured to wear the uniform and the blue jean collar in No 2 Company will always stay with me. Onwards and upwards.
